Redactly is designed to protect your sensitive information. The app performs all of its work — importing photos, detecting sensitive content, redacting, watermarking, and exporting — entirely on your device. Your photos and documents are never uploaded to us or to any third party.
None. Redactly has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not collect personal information, usage data, photos, or any identifiers. The app makes no network connections except those required by Apple to process in-app purchases.
Photos you open are processed in memory on your device. When you export, Redactly writes a new, redacted copy (with all metadata such as EXIF/GPS removed) and, with your permission, saves it to your Photo Library or shares it via the system share sheet. Your original photo is never modified. We never see your images.
Redactly requests permission to add your exported copy to your Photo Library. This permission is used only to save the file you explicitly choose to export.
If you enable the optional app lock, Redactly uses Face ID or Touch ID solely to unlock the app on your device. Biometric data is handled entirely by Apple and is never accessible to Redactly.
In-app purchases and the free trial are handled by Apple through the App Store. Redactly does not receive or store your payment information. Apple’s handling of your purchase data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Redactly does not collect any data from anyone, including children.
