How does reading turn into screen time?
Kids tap Read to bank time. Parents set a rule per child in Parent Settings, then Manage Kids (for example, 15 min reading = 10 min play, or equal time). Kids then tap Play to spend it, and a friendly chime sounds when time is up.
How do creatures work?
Reading milestones and reading streaks unlock collectible creature cards, over 148 in all across 6 elements and 3 battle roles. Kids who reach the same level get different creatures with the same power, so every collection is unique. Finishing a book earns a special Book Rare card.
How do battles work?
Once a day, two kids can battle each other, or one kid can battle the Wild Ones. Each of five rounds, every kid secretly picks a creature and a move: Strike, Guard or a Special. Younger kids get Underdog Spirit when they fall behind, so battles stay close. The winner earns a Win Token.
What is the book challenge?
In the Books tab, tap Complete a Book, pick the reader and optionally add the title and a cover photo. Then comes the Brain Boost: a quick math question matched to the child's age (from two-digit sums at 5 to times tables at 8 and beyond). A correct answer earns a Rare card, and any answer still earns a card. Each child gets their own unique Book Rare.
I forgot my parent PIN.
For safety the PIN is stored only on your device and we can't recover it. You can reset it by deleting and reinstalling the app, which also clears the app's data on that device.
What is the Reading Leaderboard?
An optional feature that's off by default and turned on by a parent with the PIN. It publishes only a nickname you choose, an optional city and its country, an emoji, a reading score and average daily reading minutes. Never your child's real name, birthday, precise location or photos. Turn it off anytime to remove the entry.
How do I delete all my data?
Parent Settings (gear icon on Home, then your PIN), then Account & Security, then Delete Everything. This permanently erases all app data from your device.
Is there a purchase?
The app is free. An optional one-time Read 2 Play+ upgrade unlocks unlimited kids, every creature, battles and more. It's bought through the App Store behind the parent PIN, with no subscription. Use Restore Purchases in the upgrade screen on a new device.
Privacy
There are no accounts, ads, analytics or third-party trackers. App data stays on your device and your own iCloud, except the optional leaderboard entry described above. Read the full Privacy Policy.
